Movement of tourists in the National Park off the tourist and educational tracks is permissible as follows.

  1. Visitors in the National Park are permitted to walk off the tourist and educational tracks in the company of authorised guides apart from the following localities:
    • from the ridge Siroka Javorinska to the NW of Zabi vrch, Rovienky, Svistova dolina and the end of Bielovodska dolina; the South border of this area is the line connecting Velky Zabi stit - Ceske pleso - Hviezdoslavov vodopad - Litvorove pleso - Prielom. This restriction does not apply to the access to Ceska dolina along Cesky potok;
    • Kolova dolina with all adjacent valleys and climbing walls, NE part of Cierna Javorova dolina bordering in the South with Cierny Javorovy potok and the ridge Snehove veze;
    • Belianske Tatry;
    • Huncovska kotlinka including the SE part of Velka Svistovka;
    • Slavkovska dolina inlcuding all climbing walls up to Granatova lavka;
    • Stolska dolina bordering from the North with the ridge Ostrva - Koncista and from the South with the tourist track Magistrala;
    • the area of Krivan with all adjacent ridges and valleys (Nefcerka, Kotliny, Skaredy zlab, Za handel, Sucha voda); the NE border is the ridge Hrube and the East border is the ridge Furkotske veze and Kozi chrbat.
  2. It is permissible for a maximum of 30 tourists, including authorised guides, to access any one peak within one day where there is no tourist or educational track. One authorised guide is allowed to guide maximum of 5 tourists within the National Park.
  3. Each guide must log every single trip with the National Park Authorities (either by telephone, walkie-talkie or in person) providing full name, the number of guided tourists, the peak to be reached and the alternative routes in case of the bad weather. This information must be submitted as soon as possible but not later than in the morning of the ascend. The guide must make sure that conditions stated in the item 2 above are met.
  4. If walking off any tourist and educational tracks each guide has to provide his/her certificate confirming his/her ability to guide tourists off the public tracks. This certificate has to be provided on the spot if requested by the National Park wardens.
